Course Description

A practical course that meets OFSTED requirements for paediatric first aid. The course is designed to acknowledge the specific needs of nursery staff and child minders, covering first aid on children from birth to puberty. Delegates will learn how to treat the common types of injuries and illnesses experienced by children, and will learn how to resuscitate a child should it be required.

Duration

2 days – 9:30 to 16:30.

Prerequisites

Nil.

Suitability

Anyone who works with or cares for children they will learn skills and techniques that will enable them to confidently handle emergencies when dealing with children. Parents/guardians may also want to learn skills to deal with emergencies in the home.

Qualification

On completion of the course, delegates will receive a 'Paediatric First Aid and Appointed Person' certificate which is valid for one year.

Course Size

Maximum Course attendance is 10.
