Course Description

The course details both abrasive wheels and the training techniques and lesson planning to deliver a course. It provides subject specific information to enable individuals to conduct in-house abrasive wheels training for their colleagues. This course offers a look at: some common items of work equipment, methods of marking/storing/transporting/handling/ testing and inspecting abrasive wheels, dressing methods, correct assembly of abrasive wheels, the functions of all components used with the wheels, and suitable use of PPE. The course will also detail training techniques emphasising how delegates can get the most from the training course.

Duration

1 day – 9:30 to 16:30.

Prerequisites

Must be competent in the use of abrasive wheels and understand the training syllabus.

Suitability

This course is suitable for all operators, supervisors and managers, who as part of their working duties select, mount, specify or use abrasive wheels (as defined in Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998).

Qualification

On completion of this course delegates will receive a competency certificate.

Course Size

Minimum Course attendance is 4.
